The Single-Conjugate Adaptive Optics (SCAO) subsystem for METIS, a first light instrument for the upcoming Extremely Large Telescope (ELT) telescope, generates more than 20TB of data every night. To be able to parse all of this data, accelerated computing is crucial. BRBRThis talk will give an overview and delve a bit deeper into accelerated computing using GPUs, and how it will be used to operate the adaptive optics (AO) system for METIS at the ELT. This talk will focus on explaining GPU-accelerated coding while giving real examples of how it is being used in our AO prototype.BRBRPresentation: EnglishBRSlides: EnglishBRQuestions: German, English || || 02.10.2023 || -- || -- || || 09.10.2023 || Institutional Review || || || 16.10.2023 || -- || -- || || 23.10.2023 || || || || 27.10.2023 || -- || -- || || 06.11.2023 || || || || 13.11.2023 || -- || -- || || 20.11.2023 || || || || 27.11.2023 || -- || -- || || 04.12.2023 || || || || 11.12.2023 || -- || -- || || 18.12.2023 || || || || 25.12.2023 || Holiday || Christmas || Preview: DD.MM.2023 - Speaker: Title TBC - Manon Lallement: Photonic technology developments for the visible interferometer FIRST at the Subaru Telescope Postview: [wiki:OldPresentations2014S2 Presentations from 12.09. - 31.12.2014] [wiki:OldPresentations2015S1 Presentations from 01.01. - 31.07.2015] [wiki:OldPresentations2015S2 Presentations from 01.08. - 31.12.2015] [wiki:OldPresentations2016S1 Presentations from 01.01. - 31.07.2016] [wiki:OldPresentations2016S2 Presentations from 01.08. - 31.12.2016] [wiki:OldPresentations2017S1 Presentations from 01.01. - 31.07.2017] [wiki:OldPresentations2017S2 Presentations from 01.08. - 31.12.2017] [wiki:OldPresentations2018S1 Presentations from 01.01. - 31.07.2018] [wiki:OldPresentations2018S2 Presentations from 01.08. - 31.12.2018] [wiki:OldPresentations2019S1 Presentations from 01.01. - 31.07.2019] [wiki:OldPresentations2019S2 Presentations from 01.08. - 31.12.2019] [wiki:OldPresentations2020S1 Presentations from 01.01. - 31.07.2020] [wiki:OldPresentations2020S2 Presentations from 01.08. - 31.12.2020] [wiki:OldPresentations2021S1 Presentations 2021S1] [wiki:OldPresentations2022S1 Presentations 2022S1] [wiki:OldPresentations2022S2 Presentations 2022S2] [wiki:OldPresentations2023S1 Presentations 2023S1]
